Perez told me this morning that apparently Kendra will be stealing Carmen Electra‘s idea of strip tease workouts by producing her own line of stripper poles & workout dvds.  not sure how many wives are going to jump at the chance to put a stripper pole in their homes…

i love Carmen Electra‘s workout videos.  they are fun, sassy, and make working out exciting.  i don’t know if i can handle Kendra and her obnoxious laugh guiding me through a sexy workout.  she would confuse herself as well as me!

on a lighter note, Kendra will be leading us around her engagement and marriage to Hank Baskett in her new E! reality show, Kendra.

this should be interesting.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories of all time.  i got super excited when i saw this:

it’s available at Span of Sunset in LA both in the store and online.  it retails for $60.  not bad for a badass cat and sweet box.

oh yes, it’s a day of drunken Irish celebration. i love it. Erin go bragh! we pre-celebrated this weekend by attending the official St. Patrick’s day parade in San Francisco. i got up at 6:30 am to endure some massive cooking. my Irish breakfast included: Irish soda bread, Dubliner Irish cheddar and mushroom eggs, fried tomatoes, corned beef n’ cabbage, and bacon. topping that off with some Irish coffees, Guinness, Magners, and Murphy’s, we had ourselves quite a festive breakfast. if only i had time and didn’t have to work today, i would have done it all over again! 🙂 check out the highlights:

thats a whole lotta bacon.

that's a whole lotta bacon.

since i was using my stovetop, and i had a massive amount of eggs to make, i tossed some shredded chedder and green onions on top and baked them for 15 minutes.

after simmering the seasoned corned beef in water for almost 3 hours (50 minutes per pound), i added the red potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. i love how the veggies soak up all of the delicious flavor of the beef!

Watchmen premiere March 6, 2009

The Watchmen appears over the River Thames at midnight to commemorate the film premiere.

the River Thames is the second longest river in the United Kingdom and the longest river entirely in England.  check out this sweet video of it!

what did you think of the Watchmen?

personally, i really enjoyed seeing this timeless comic come to life.

**********************************(SPOILERS ALERT)************************************

here are some of my comments:

  • i loved Dr. Manhattan and the use of full male nudity at an R rate movie (it’s about time!).  the character looked and sounded great.
  • the updated pin up version of Miss Jupiter/Silk Spectre I was fantastic.  (i dressed up as her for the movie premiere.)  although at the end, it is quite obviously that they caked on the fake ‘age’ makeup. she looks really gross.  i was surprised globs of makeup didn’t fall off her face during her scenes.
  • the use of pop culture music in this film is ridiculous.   ride of the valkries during the viatnam scene? really? felt more like Apocalypse Now!  i completely understand the context of using the song: Hollis then explains that that’s why “The Ride of the Valkyries” is the saddest thing he could think of.
it just seemed a little cheap.
  • Rorschach was incredible.  the actor, Jackie Earl Haley, NAILED IT!  seriously, he captured the psychopath brilliantly.  i was absolutely blown away by his performance.
  • the movie completely cut out the news stand guys.  they were the only non-super hero characters in the comic book.  they gave a realistic regular average Joe approach of the fear people had of a nuclear war.
  • the guy playing Nixon was horrifying.  he didn’t look nor sound like Nixon.  i could have done a better job purchasing a Nixon mask from the Halloween store and looping a bunch of his speech recordings.  for the amount of money this movie was allotted, you think they would get a realistic Nixon.

agree or disagree?  let me know what your thoughts are.

laughing squid posted this sweet and clever marketing idea that Pizzeria Delfina created.

everyone uses yelp, which promotes or demotes your business by the fellow peoples and their comments.  i love yelp.  i search it to find the best restaurants/places/clubs/etc.  it’s amazing.  sometimes, people can be cruel, mean, hilariuos, stupid, amazing, gentle, kind, blah blah blah.

well, Pizzeria Delfina got some negative feedback from one of their customers.  instead of letting it bother them, they made sweet t-shirts for all of their staff to wear.  kick ass!

what have we learned kiddies??? so next time someone post some crappy remake on GAF, yelp, your blog, etc.  turn it around to something good! 🙂

what do you think?  Holly Madison may be on the next season of Dancing with the Stars.  aparantly Jewel is injured and the season premiere is next week.  can Holly dance?  she struts her stuff with her pink Heelys, but can she jump, jive, and roll?  this might be really intersting!

Also, if you were checking this blog for commentary on video games, point your browser to my new, post-MTV blog, “Push The Button.” You won’t find anything very much about video games here anymore.

No, I still don’t have a job, but I should have work appearing around the interwebs in the near future. Stay tuned.
