i love when advertising companies pitch in for the greater good! 826 Valencia is a writing lab for San Francisco students ages 6-11. their whole approach is to get kids excited about literary arts, assist & tutor them, and host classes for both kids & adults. it’s amazing. and their storefront is a PIRATE STORE!

The San Francisco based design house, Office, developed the store’s new identity, and conceptualized and designed nearly 50 new products.  Reflecting the store’s wildly imaginative experience, the products represent 826’s mission to support creative expression.

not only am i a big fan of literature and education of it, but combining it with pirates is spectacular!  i wish there was something like this when i was a kid.  it makes reading fun.  they even have field trips and other fun events for the kids.

regardless, i can’t wait to check this store out and get me some beard extensions!
